nice area, clean and comfortable rooms, helpful staff. worth the price.
good all round country hotel with good bar, food and staff
Staff could not do enough and very helpful and obliging
Delightful surroundings, comfortable room, excellent staff, excellent value for money
At the price we paid, we had no complaints whatsoever.
Location. Big bed. Not usual motel type accomodation. Nice breakfast. Nice place to have my wife with me.
Expensive wine. TV pretty primitive. Standard of decor not high.
Enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely to have extra lounge area in the Strathblane Room to relax in. Staff were very pleasant.
Restaurant a bit expensive so ate in the bar where prices were more acceptable.
We felt welcomed the staff were first class foot very good would recommend to family and friends will return again good value for money.
My husband and I stayed here 33 years ago on our honeymoon, and it was still as lovely and quiet as it was then. From memory not too much had changed. A small thing, when I asked at breakfast for Flora for cholesterol reasons. The manager stated that they do not have substitutes, strange in this day and age! so I had to have dry toast.
I was not too happy sitting in the lounge while guests were smoking just outside on the front porch and I do know you have facilities at the side of the building for this purpose.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere & would use again.
Tourist leaflets would be a good idea, as it's a wonderful area
The staff were very professional and extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was of a high standard with regard to cleanliness. The food was beautiful.
The furniture in the room could be a little more modern, which would have enhanced the room even more.
the food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast, really something to look forward to, but a little pricey for us(engineers on a budget), the room was very good at a great price, the staff were friendly, we asked for this hotel specifically as we have stayed here before when working in glasgow
there was nothing not to like, if anything the bar menu could be a little less pricey, but we realise it's not aimed at engineers working away
good value, good staff, comfortable rooms not luxury, for us it was a good stopover.
Excellent location with lovely views from the bedroom. Very friendly staff. Good prices and therefore good value.
New bed needed as it was pretty uncomfortable. Shower temperature unstable. Breakfast could have been better.
The hotel was just the right size, big enough to have a restaurant and bar, but small enough to feel cosy. We could put our small son to bed, switch on the baby monitor and then go down for dinner. The room (19) was very large and comfortable. The surrounding environment is picturesque. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Just small things that did not spoil our stay: Our room (19) was a little noisy, being next to the air conditioning unit, and the bedspreads were threadbare. There was not much water pressure.
the easiness of it all, friendly staff and relatively good food
to bad we had separates beds
